Water Slide Rental in Caledonia, MI — Dash N’ Splash, From Right Here in Town

Bigfoot Bounce Houses West Michigan is based in Caledonia. Kevin, the owner, is a nurse and a dad who lives here and delivers every water slide rental in Caledonia himself, so the truck is coming from a few miles away, not from across the county.
Caledonia already has the splash pad at the Community Green and the beach at Lakeside Park. Dash N’ Splash is for the birthday when you’d rather keep everyone in the backyard: a 25-foot water slide with an obstacle course in front of it, $349 for the day, delivery and takedown included. We are fully insured, and every unit gets a hospital-grade three-step sanitizing between events.
Check your date and reserve Dash N’ Splash online, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address.
Where to set up in Caledonia
A water slide needs one thing a bounce house doesn’t: a hose spigot within 50 feet, on top of the outlet. In a backyard, plan on a level 35′ × 32′ patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete (the 25′ × 22′ unit plus 5 feet of clearance all around), 20 feet overhead with no branches or wires, and a standard outlet and a spigot within 50 feet. We bring the hose and the cord. Grass gets stakes, a driveway gets sandbags, and gravel is out. Newer lots in Kraft Farms, Snow Valley, Valley Point, and Thornapple Farms usually have the room; on a Campau Lake or Duncan Lake lot, pick the flat stretch away from the shoreline slope.
Parks take a phone call first:
- Caledonia Lakeside Park (370 N Lake St SE, on Emmons Lake) is a Kent County park and the best park option for a slide: the open shelter holds 125, lists water and electric, and rents for $150 to $175 a day. Kent County requires Park Manager permission at least two weeks ahead plus a $25 amusement fee. Ask whether the water is a hose spigot rather than a fountain; if not, the slide runs dry. Reserve online or call (616) 632-7275.
- Caledonia Community Green (9309 Dobber Wenger, in front of the township library) is the only park the township runs. The pavilion rents for $75 a half day or $100 a full day for township residents ($150 / $200 for non-residents), plus a $200 refundable deposit. The policy doesn’t mention inflatables, electricity, or hose hookups one way or the other, so ask about a water slide, an outlet, and a spigot when you call 616-891-0070.
- Fred W. Ruehs Park (7600 68th St, on the Thornapple River in the Alaska end of the township) has a big playground and a reservable shelter. Same Kent County rules apply; the fee and hookups aren’t posted online, so call (616) 632-7275.
Church lawns and school fields work well for bigger crowds. St. Paul Lutheran on Kraft Avenue, Caledonia Christian Reformed on Cherry Valley, and the Caledonia Community Schools campuses all have flat, open grass. Ask the office where the nearest outside outlet and spigot are, and we’ll send a certificate of insurance naming the church or the PTO.
What we bring
Dash N’ Splash is 25′ long, 22′ wide, and 17′ high. Riders climb the wall, push through pop-up obstacles and tunnels, and finish down the slide into a splash pool. The pool is included, not an add-on. One rider on the slide at a time; Kevin covers that and the rest of the rules before the first climb.
$349 per day, with delivery anywhere in Caledonia, setup, stakes or sandbags, blower, hose, cord, takedown, and sanitizing included. It runs on one blower on one standard circuit. You provide the outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet.
It runs wet or dry. Wet for a July birthday in Kraft Farms or an August lake-day on Duncan Lake; dry for a cool late-May party, a Caledonia High grad open house full of teenagers who’d rather not be soaked, or a Harvest Festival weekend gathering in September, when it becomes a straight obstacle course with a slide finish at the same price, no soggy kids.
Pair it with the Extra Large Bounce House for the little kids, or add a foam party or a cotton candy machine (from $110).
How it works
1. Book your date. Pick your date on the rentals page, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address.
2. Kevin delivers and sets up. He stakes or sandbags the unit, connects the hose and blower, fills the splash pool, and walks you through the safety rules: one rider on the slide at a time and a responsible adult supervising throughout.
3. You enjoy the party. Afterward we drain, tear down, haul away, and run the three-step sanitizing (sweep and inspect, disinfect, final inspection).
Weather: the slide has to come down if winds exceed 15 to 20 mph or it rains. Kevin watches the forecast and will cancel ahead of time with a full refund if conditions look unsafe. Booking: 2 to 4 weeks ahead in peak season (May through September), and summer Saturdays go first.
Water slide FAQs — Caledonia edition
How much does a water slide rental in Caledonia cost?
Dash N’ Splash is $349 per day, all-in: delivery, setup, hose and cord, blower, splash pool, takedown, and sanitizing. No delivery fee anywhere in the village or the township, no surprise line items.
Is delivery in Caledonia included?
Yes. We’re based here, so every Caledonia address, from the village on M-37 to Alaska, Kraft Farms, and the lake lots, is a short drive and inside the included delivery area. If the setup spot is a long carry from where Kevin can park, mention it when you book.
Can I set the water slide up at Caledonia Lakeside Park?
Yes, with Kent County permission: contact the Park Manager at least two weeks ahead, pay the $25 amusement fee, and reserve the open shelter, which lists water and electric. Ask specifically about a hose spigot within 50 feet of where the slide would sit; if there isn’t one, the slide runs dry and the beach handles the wet part.
What water and power do I need for the slide?
A standard outlet and an outdoor hose spigot, both within 50 feet of the setup spot. We bring the hose and the extension cord, and the blower runs on a single standard circuit. If your site has water but no power, ask us about generator options.
Are you insured, and can you send a certificate to my school or church?
Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured and provides a certificate of insurance on request for Caledonia Community Schools, a church office, Kent County Parks, the township, or any venue that asks. Just tell us the name to list.
How far ahead should I book a water slide in Caledonia?
Two to four weeks during peak season, May through September, and earlier for a summer Saturday. Being local doesn’t hold a date; if you have a specific one, lock it in as soon as you know.
