Bounce House Rental in Hastings, MI — Delivered, Staked, and Sanitized

Bigfoot Bounce Houses West Michigan is a one-man, family-owned rental company in Caledonia, about 18 miles and 22 minutes from Hastings straight down M-37. Kevin, the owner, delivers, sets up, and tears down every bounce house himself, and Hastings is inside the delivery area, not an add-on.
Your $275 rental includes delivery, setup, stakes or sandbags, the cord, and a hospital-grade three-step sanitizing after your party. No delivery fee for a Hastings address, no surprise line items. We’re fully insured and a 2026 GRKids Family Choice Awards Top 10 Birthday Party Place. Reserve online, or keep reading for where to set it up.
Where to set up in Hastings
Backyards are the easy option: a flat patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete about 30 by 22 feet (the unit plus 5 feet of clearance on every side), 20 feet of overhead clearance, and a standard outlet within 50 feet. No gravel, sand, or rock. Parks come with one catch each:
- City pavilions at Fish Hatchery Park (1011 W Green St, two shelters, restrooms, playground, disc golf), Tyden Park (N Broadway, two shelters, restrooms, playground), and Bob King Park (298 W Woodlawn Ave, one shelter, TangleTown playground) rent for $50 for city residents or $80 for non-residents through City Hall, plus an $80 cleanup fee for groups of 50 or more. The catch: the city’s reservation form says electrical service, “if any is present, is not assured to be usable,” and it doesn’t mention inflatables. Call City Hall at (269) 945-2468 to ask about both, and plan on a generator.
- Historic Charlton Park (2545 S Charlton Park Rd, Barry County, on Thornapple Lake) is the park with real power: nine outlets under the 220-seat pavilion, flush restrooms, and a playground across the way, for $150 to $200 a day. The catch: because of underground utilities, park staff must approve in advance anywhere you stake anything, so we’d sandbag the bounce house there. Call (269) 945-3775.
- Barry Expo Center (1350 N M-37) rents its banquet halls and 160-acre grounds and can arrange temporary electrical; call (269) 945-2224 for rates and rules.
Hastings already does inflatables and foam: Summerfest’s children’s activities downtown have included a foam party, and the county fair brings a full carnival to the Expo Center every July. For a school or church event, ask the office where the nearest outlet is and we’ll send a certificate of insurance.
What we bring
The Extra Large Bounce House is 20 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 16 feet 4 inches tall, with more than 300 square feet of bounce area, mesh windows all the way around, and fire-resistant vinyl. It rents for $275 per day. One blower runs on one standard 110V circuit; blower, cord, and stakes come with it, plus sandbags for pavement or no-stake sites. You supply the outlet within 50 feet and a grown-up to supervise. Five to six kids of similar size can bounce at once.
How it works
1. Book your date. Reserve on the rentals page. From May through September, book 2 to 4 weeks ahead; Saturdays fill first.
2. Kevin sets it up. He stakes it on grass or sandbags it where staking isn’t allowed, checks the blower, and goes over the safety rules with you.
3. Bounce, then we pack up. Kevin tears it down and runs the full sanitizing cycle (sweep and inspect, disinfect, final inspection) before it goes to the next family.
Weather: inflatables come down if winds top 15 to 20 mph or it rains. Kevin watches the forecast and will cancel ahead of time with a full refund if it looks unsafe. Bigfoot might be famous for disappearing into the woods, but we pride ourselves on showing up.
Bounce house FAQs — Hastings edition
How much does a bounce house rental in Hastings cost?
$275 for a one-day rental, including delivery, setup, takedown, and sanitizing. There’s no delivery fee for Hastings. Add a cotton candy machine from $110 if you want a treat table.
Is delivery to Hastings included?
Yes. Hastings is about 18 miles and 22 minutes from our base in Caledonia. Downtown, the Green Street side by Fish Hatchery Park, Algonquin Lake, and out on Star School Road all get the same $275 price.
Can I set up a bounce house at Fish Hatchery Park or Tyden Park?
Probably, but confirm two things with City Hall at (269) 945-2468: that a bounce house is okay at your shelter, and whether there’s a working outlet. The city’s own form won’t promise the power, so if the answer is no or maybe, ask us about generator options when you book.
What about Charlton Park?
Good choice for a bigger group. The pavilion has nine outlets, so power isn’t a problem. Staking is: park staff have to approve any stake location because of underground utilities, so tell us it’s Charlton and we’ll bring sandbags and tie down without a single stake. Confirm the bounce house itself with the park at (269) 945-3775 when you reserve.
Are you insured? Can you send a certificate of insurance to my school or church?
Yes on both. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured, and we’ll send a certificate naming your church, venue, or parent group, whether that’s the Central Elementary PTO, a family night at Northeastern, Southeastern, or Star, or a room at the CERC.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to four weeks in peak season, May through September. Grad-party weekends, fair week in July, and Summerfest weekend in late August go fast, so book as soon as you have the date.
