Bounce House Rental in Wayland, MI — Delivered, Staked, and Sanitized

Bigfoot Bounce Houses West Michigan is a one-man, family-owned rental company in Caledonia, about 15 miles and 19 minutes from Wayland by way of 142nd Avenue. Kevin, the owner, delivers, sets up, and tears down every bounce house himself, in the city and out to Dorr, Moline, Bradley, and Shelbyville.
Your $275 rental includes delivery, setup, stakes or sandbags, the cord, and a hospital-grade three-step sanitizing after your party. No delivery fee for a Wayland address, no surprise line items. We’re fully insured and a 2026 GRKids Family Choice Awards Top 10 Birthday Party Place. Reserve online, or keep reading for where to set it up.
Where to set up in Wayland
Backyards are the easy option: a flat patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete about 30 by 22 feet (the unit plus 5 feet of clearance on every side), 20 feet of overhead clearance, and a standard outlet within 50 feet. No gravel, sand, or rock. For a park, Allegan County has the clearest rules in our whole service area:
- Gun Lake Park (2397 Patterson Rd, Allegan County): a 75-person pavilion with electric, 450 feet of beach, and a playground. $50 for a half day or $80 for a full day, booked online through ReserveAmerica, May 1 through September 30. A bounce house needs a $25 special use permit from the county plus a certificate of liability insurance, which we provide. No alcohol at county day-use parks, and no refunds on pavilion bookings.
- Bysterveld Park (4171 14th St, Allegan County): a 110-person pavilion on 70 acres of trails, $80 half day or $150 full day. Same $25 permit and insurance certificate, but the county says only Gun Lake, Dumont Lake, and Littlejohn pavilions have electricity, so plan on a generator here.
- Wayland City Park: two picnic shelters, a gazebo, and a splash pad. The city’s “Application to Use City Assets” has no fee but needs 30 days’ lead time and City Council approval, and it doesn’t address inflatables or outlets. Call Public Works at (269) 792-0686 to ask before you plan on it.
Allegan County’s permit office is at (269) 686-9088 or Parks@allegancounty.org. Foam and inflatables are already part of Wayland’s summer: Summerfest’s kids’ entertainment downtown includes a foam party every June.
What we bring
The Extra Large Bounce House is 20 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 16 feet 4 inches tall, with more than 300 square feet of bounce area, mesh windows all the way around, and fire-resistant vinyl. It rents for $275 per day. One blower runs on one standard 110V circuit; blower, cord, and stakes come with it. You supply the outlet within 50 feet and a grown-up to supervise. Five to six kids of similar size can bounce at once.
How it works
1. Book your date. Reserve on the rentals page. From May through September, book 2 to 4 weeks ahead; Saturdays fill first.
2. Kevin sets it up. He stakes it on grass or sandbags it on pavement, checks the blower, and goes over the safety rules with you.
3. Bounce, then we pack up. Kevin tears it down and runs the full sanitizing cycle (sweep and inspect, disinfect, final inspection) before it goes to the next family.
Weather: inflatables come down if winds top 15 to 20 mph or it rains. Kevin watches the forecast and will cancel ahead of time with a full refund if it looks unsafe. Bigfoot might be famous for disappearing into the woods, but we pride ourselves on showing up.
Bounce house FAQs — Wayland edition
How much does a bounce house rental in Wayland cost?
$275 for a one-day rental, including delivery, setup, takedown, and sanitizing. There’s no delivery fee for Wayland. Add a cotton candy machine from $110 if you want a treat table.
Is delivery to Wayland included?
Yes. Wayland is about 15 miles and 19 minutes from our base in Caledonia. The city, Dorr, Moline, Bradley, Shelbyville, and the Gun Lake side of the township all get the same $275 price.
Can I set up a bounce house at Gun Lake Park?
Yes, with a county permit. Reserve the pavilion on ReserveAmerica, then apply to Allegan County Parks for the $25 special use permit and send them a certificate of liability insurance. We supply the certificate; just tell us the date and the park. The pavilion has electric, so no generator needed.
What power do I need?
One standard 110V outlet within 50 feet of the bounce house; we bring the cord. Gun Lake Park’s pavilion has it. Bysterveld doesn’t, and Wayland City Park doesn’t say, so ask us about generator options for those.
Are you insured? Can you send a certificate of insurance to the county, my school, or my church?
Yes on all three. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured, and we send certificates to Allegan County for park permits, to Wayland Union parent groups (the Elementary Parent Association for Baker and Steeby, the Intermediate PTO for Pine Street, or the Dorr PTO), and to any church or venue that asks.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to four weeks in peak season, May through September, and earlier for a county park, since the permit and pavilion booking add their own lead time. Grad-party weekends and Summerfest Saturday in June go fast.
