Water Slide Rental in Rockford, MI — Dash N’ Splash, Delivered and Set Up

Water slide rental in Rockford, MI: the Dash N' Splash inflatable water slide and obstacle course combo from Bigfoot Bounce Houses

Bigfoot Bounce Houses West Michigan is a one-man, family-owned inflatable rental company in Caledonia, about 40 minutes from Rockford up US-131. Kevin, the owner, is a nurse and a dad, and he delivers, sets up, and tears down every water slide rental in Rockford himself, in the city and out through Belmont, Cannonsburg, and the Plainfield Township side.

Rockford already has the Rogue River running past the dam downtown and the White Pine Trail for the bikes. Dash N’ Splash is for the birthday when you’d rather keep everyone in the backyard: a 25-foot water slide with an obstacle course in front of it, $349 for the day, delivery and takedown included. We are fully insured, and every unit gets a hospital-grade three-step sanitizing between events.

Check your date and reserve Dash N’ Splash online, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address.

Where to set up in Rockford

A water slide needs one thing a bounce house doesn’t: a hose spigot within 50 feet, on top of the outlet. In a backyard, plan on a level 35′ × 32′ patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete (the 25′ × 22′ unit plus 5 feet of clearance all around), 20 feet overhead with no branches or wires, and a standard outlet and a spigot within 50 feet. We bring the hose and the cord. Grass gets stakes, a driveway gets sandbags, and gravel is out. Parks around Rockford fall under three different owners:

  • Townsend Park (8280 6 Mile Rd, Cannonsburg, Kent County) is the one park near Rockford that answers both questions in writing. The fieldstone open shelter rents for $150 a day for up to 80 guests, there is a water spigot behind the patio, and the county describes the electric service to the shelter as limited, so tell us it’s Townsend and we’ll plan the blower accordingly. Kent County requires Park Manager permission for amusements at least two weeks ahead plus a $25 amusement fee. Reserve online or call (616) 632-7275. The nearest restroom is at the enclosed shelterhouse.
  • Plainfield Township pavilions at D.W. Richardson Park, Grand Rogue Park, and Versluis Park are reserved through the township’s online request form. Fees, outlets, hose hookups, and inflatable rules aren’t published, so call Parks & Recreation at (616) 363-9399 before you count on one, and ask specifically about a spigot.
  • City of Rockford parks such as Garden Club Park and Richardson-Sowerby Park along the Rogue River don’t publish pavilion rules online. Check with City Hall before planning a slide downtown. Church lawns and Rockford Public Schools grounds work too, as long as there is an outdoor spigot, and we send a certificate of insurance to the office.

What we bring

Dash N’ Splash is 25′ long, 22′ wide, and 17′ high. Riders climb the wall, push through pop-up obstacles and tunnels, and finish down the slide into a splash pool. The pool is included, not an add-on. One rider on the slide at a time; Kevin covers that and the rest of the rules before the first climb.

$349 per day, with delivery to Rockford, setup, stakes or sandbags, blower, hose, cord, takedown, and sanitizing included. It runs on one blower on one standard circuit. You provide the outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet.

It runs wet or dry. Wet for a July birthday in a Belmont subdivision or an August party out toward Bostwick Lake; dry for a cool late-May party, a Rockford High grad open house full of teenagers who’d rather not be soaked, or a fall gathering, when it becomes a straight obstacle course with a slide finish at the same price, no soggy kids.

Pair it with the Extra Large Bounce House for the little kids, or add a foam party or a cotton candy machine (from $110).

How it works

1. Book your date. Pick your date on the rentals page, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address.

2. Kevin delivers and sets up. He stakes or sandbags the unit, connects the hose and blower, fills the splash pool, and walks you through the safety rules: one rider on the slide at a time and a responsible adult supervising throughout.

3. You enjoy the party. Afterward we drain, tear down, haul away, and run the three-step sanitizing (sweep and inspect, disinfect, final inspection).

Weather: the slide has to come down if winds exceed 15 to 20 mph or it rains. Kevin watches the forecast and will cancel ahead of time with a full refund if conditions look unsafe. Booking: 2 to 4 weeks ahead in peak season (May through September), and summer Saturdays go first.

Water slide FAQs — Rockford edition

How much does a water slide rental in Rockford cost?

Dash N’ Splash is $349 per day, all-in: delivery to Rockford, setup, hose and cord, blower, splash pool, takedown, and sanitizing. No delivery fee for a Rockford, Belmont, or Cannonsburg address, no surprise line items.

Is delivery to Rockford included?

Yes. Rockford is about 40 minutes from our Caledonia base and inside our included delivery area, so the price is the same downtown, in Belmont, or out in Cannon Township. If the setup spot is a long carry from where Kevin can park, mention it when you book.

Can I set the water slide up at Townsend Park?

Yes, with Kent County’s permission: contact the Park Manager at least two weeks ahead, pay the $25 amusement fee, and reserve the open shelter. It has a water spigot behind the patio, and the electric service is limited, so let us know it’s Townsend when you book so Kevin can plan for the blower.

What water and power do I need for the slide?

A standard outlet and an outdoor hose spigot, both within 50 feet of the setup spot. We bring the hose and the extension cord, and the blower runs on a single standard circuit. If your site has water but no power, ask us about generator options.

Are you insured, and can you send a certificate to my school or church?

Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured and provides a certificate of insurance on request for Rockford Public Schools, a church office, Kent County Parks, or any venue that asks. Just tell us the name to list.

How far ahead should I book a water slide in Rockford?

Two to four weeks during peak season, May through September, and earlier for a summer Saturday. Start of Summer Celebration weekend in early June books up too, so if you have a specific date, lock it in as soon as you know.
