Foam Parties in Alto
What Is a Foam Party?
A foam party is an outdoor event where a foam cannon fills your yard, driveway, or field with mountains of safe, bubbly foam that kids (and adults) can dance, play, and dive in. Bigfoot runs them two ways: a self-managed Basic Foam Party, where Kevin drops off the cannon, shows you how it works, and you run the foam whenever you want all day, or an operator-run Glow Foam Party, where a trained Bigfoot operator runs the whole show under lights after dark.
A foam party needs three things: a hose, an outlet, and room for the foam to pile up. Alto has the third one covered, and a Bowne Township yard with acres of grass around it is ideal, because the foam has nowhere to drift except your own lawn. Kevin, a nurse and a dad, runs the company solo and handles every delivery himself.

Local Know-How
Where to Set Up in Alto
Foam is the easiest thing we set up. A 20′ Γ 20′ patch of lawn or driveway is plenty, with a standard outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet. Grass, concrete, or asphalt, never gravel. On a lake lot, set up on the lawn side rather than at the shoreline, and since parks close at sunset, glow foam stays in the backyard. For anything beyond the backyard, here is what is on record:
- Colby Park (6010 Linfield) and Coldwater Park (100th & Morris Lake) are Bowne Township parks with no published pavilion, water, electricity, or event rules and no park permit form. Call Bowne Township at 616-868-6846 (the office is open Wednesdays and Thursdays only) and ask whether there is a hose hookup, because foam cannot run without one.
- Church and youth-group lawns are the natural fit. The Alto Harvest Festival Kids Zone already sets up inflatables on the green at Alto Baptist Church every September; a lawn like that, with a spigot and an outlet, is exactly what a foam night needs. We send the certificate of insurance.
- Caledonia Lakeside Park (370 N Lake St SE, Caledonia, about 14 minutes) is a Kent County park. The county requires special permission for amusements at $25 each, with at least two weeksβ notice to the Park Manager, and the open shelter has water and electric ($150 to $175 per day). Ask whether a foam cannon counts as an amusement when you call (616) 632-7275.
- North Riverfront Park (11998 Fulton St SE, Lowell Township) reserves its picnic shelters at 616-897-7600; water, electricity, and event rules are not published.

Everything Parents Ask
Foam Party FAQs β Alto Edition
How much does a foam party rental in Alto cost?
The self-run Basic Foam Party is $275 for the day and the operator-run Glow Foam Party starts at $400, both with delivery to Alto, setup, and takedown included. Extra hours of foam solution on the Basic package are $75 each. Those are the numbers on the site and the numbers on your invoice.
Is delivery to Alto included?
Yes. Alto is about 14 minutes from our Caledonia base, so every Bowne Township and Lowell Township address in the 49302 area is inside our included delivery area. There is no mileage or fuel add-on.
Can we hold a foam party at Colby Park or on a church lawn?
For Colby Park or Coldwater Park, call Bowne Township at 616-868-6846; no pavilion, water, or event rules are published, and you will need a hose hookup. Church lawns are usually simpler because the church controls the spigot and the outlet; the Alto Baptist Church green already hosts Harvest Festival inflatables each September. Get your churchβs okay, and we handle the rest.
What water and power does the foam cannon need?
A standard outlet and a hose spigot, both within 50 feet of where the cannon will sit. That is the same for Basic and Glow. We bring the extension cord and the connections; you supply the hose. If your spot has water but no electricity, ask us about generator options when you book.
Are you insured, and can a school or church get a certificate?
Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured and provides a certificate of insurance on request for schools, churches, and venues, including a Kettle Lake or Alto Elementary PTO night or a youth-group event at any Alto church. Tell us the exact name to list and we will send it over.
How far ahead should I book, especially for grad season?
Two to four weeks in peak season, May through September, and three to four weeks for glow. June grad parties are the busiest Glow Foam dates, so if a senior in your house is graduating from Lowell or Caledonia, reserve as soon as the party date is set.
Ready to Make Your Alto Party Legendary?
Bigfoot Bounce Houses is a one-man shop, so Kevin sees every message. Book your foam party and he handles delivery, setup, safety, and squeaky-clean fun so you can enjoy the day.
