Water Slide Rental in Wyoming, MI — Dash N’ Splash, Delivered and Set Up

Water slide rental in Wyoming, MI: the Dash N' Splash inflatable water slide and obstacle course combo from Bigfoot Bounce Houses

Bigfoot Bounce Houses West Michigan is a one-man, family-owned inflatable rental company in Caledonia, about 20 minutes from Wyoming across the south side of Grand Rapids. Kevin, the owner, is a nurse and a dad, and he delivers, sets up, and tears down every water slide rental in Wyoming himself.

Dash N’ Splash is a 25-foot water slide with an obstacle course in front of it, $349 for the day, delivery and takedown included. It is the unit for the kids who have outgrown bouncing. We are fully insured, and every unit gets a hospital-grade three-step sanitizing between events.

Check your date and reserve Dash N’ Splash online, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address. But read the park section first; Wyoming has a rule most parents don’t know about.

Where to set up in Wyoming

A water slide needs one thing a bounce house doesn’t: a hose spigot within 50 feet, on top of the outlet. In a backyard, plan on a level 35′ × 32′ patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete (the 25′ × 22′ unit plus 5 feet of clearance all around), 20 feet overhead with no branches or wires, and a standard outlet and a spigot within 50 feet. We bring the hose and the cord. Grass gets stakes, a driveway gets sandbags, and gravel is out.

City parks take paperwork. Wyoming Parks & Recreation rents shelters May 1 through September 30 for $60 to $80 a half day or $120 to $160 a full day for residents ($90 to $240 for non-residents), plus a $75 damage deposit, and there are no refunds. The reservation rules say any “special equipment not provided by the Parks and Recreation Department (including inflatable games, carnival-type games, petting zoo, etc.)” needs a special event agreement. So a water slide at a Wyoming shelter is possible, but only with that agreement in hand, and none of the shelter listings mention a hose spigot, so ask about water when you call (616) 530-3164, Monday through Thursday. Without a spigot, the slide runs dry. The shelters that make sense:

  • Lamar Park (2561 Porter Ave SW): 75-seat shelter with electricity and a grill near the restrooms; picnic sections A and B also have power.
  • Ideal Park (5843 Crippen Ave SW): East Shelter seats 75 by the playground, West Shelter seats 100 with attached restrooms, both with electricity.
  • Pinery Park (2301 DeHoop Ave SW): 50-seat shelter with electricity and a grill. The lodge is indoor, and indoor rentals don’t allow inflatables.
  • Gezon Park (5651 Gezon Ct SW): 75-seat South Shelter with electricity.
  • Jackson Park (3235 Robin Ave SW): tents, canopies, and bounce houses are not permitted here, so skip it.

Church lawns and school fields are simpler. Ask the office where the nearest outlet and outdoor spigot are and we’ll send a certificate of insurance. Inflatables are nothing new in Wyoming: the Metro Cruise pit stops in August have run a giant inflatable and a foam pit for the kids.

What we bring

Dash N’ Splash is 25′ long, 22′ wide, and 17′ high. Riders climb the wall, push through pop-up obstacles and tunnels, and finish down the slide into a splash pool. The pool is included, not an add-on. One rider on the slide at a time; Kevin covers that and the rest of the rules before the first climb.

$349 per day, with delivery to Wyoming, setup, stakes or sandbags, blower, hose, cord, takedown, and sanitizing included. It runs on one blower on one standard circuit. You provide the outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet.

It runs wet or dry. Wet for a July birthday off Byron Center Avenue or an August block party in a Wyoming cul-de-sac; dry for a cool late-May party, a grad open house full of teenagers who’d rather not be soaked, or a fall gathering, when it becomes a straight obstacle course with a slide finish at the same price, no soggy kids.

Pair it with the Extra Large Bounce House for the little kids, or add a foam party or a cotton candy machine (from $110).

How it works

1. Book your date. Pick your date on the rentals page, or text (616) 232-6077 with your date and address.

2. Kevin delivers and sets up. He stakes or sandbags the unit, connects the hose and blower, fills the splash pool, and walks you through the safety rules: one rider on the slide at a time and a responsible adult supervising throughout.

3. You enjoy the party. Afterward we drain, tear down, haul away, and run the three-step sanitizing (sweep and inspect, disinfect, final inspection).

Weather: the slide has to come down if winds exceed 15 to 20 mph or it rains. Kevin watches the forecast and will cancel ahead of time with a full refund if conditions look unsafe; the city’s shelter fee is non-refundable, so watch the forecast with us. Booking: 2 to 4 weeks ahead in peak season (May through September), and summer Saturdays go first.

Water slide FAQs — Wyoming edition

How much does a water slide rental in Wyoming cost?

Dash N’ Splash is $349 per day, all-in: delivery to Wyoming, setup, hose and cord, blower, splash pool, takedown, and sanitizing. No delivery fee for a Wyoming address, no surprise line items.

Is delivery to Wyoming included?

Yes. Wyoming is about 20 minutes from our Caledonia base, well inside our included delivery area, from the 28th Street corridor down to the Gezon Park side of the city. If the setup spot is a long carry from where Kevin can park, mention it when you book.

Can I set the water slide up at a Wyoming city park?

Possibly, at Lamar, Ideal, Pinery, or Gezon, with a shelter reservation and the city’s special event agreement for inflatables. None of the shelter listings mention a hose spigot, so ask about water when you call (616) 530-3164; without one, the slide runs dry. Jackson Park does not allow inflatables at all.

What water and power do I need for the slide?

A standard outlet and an outdoor hose spigot, both within 50 feet of the setup spot. We bring the hose and the extension cord, and the blower runs on a single standard circuit. If your site has water but no power, ask us about generator options.

Are you insured, and can you send a certificate to my school or church?

Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured and provides a certificate of insurance on request for Wyoming Public Schools, Godfrey-Lee, Godwin Heights, Kelloggsville, a church office, the city for your special event agreement, or any venue that asks. Just tell us the name to list.

How far ahead should I book a water slide in Wyoming?

Two to four weeks during peak season, May through September, and earlier for a summer Saturday. City shelter reservations close at 5 p.m. the Thursday of the week before, so line up the shelter and the slide together.
