Foam Parties in Rockford
What Is a Foam Party?
A foam party is an outdoor event where a foam cannon fills your yard, driveway, or field with mountains of safe, bubbly foam that kids (and adults) can dance, play, and dive in. Bigfoot runs them two ways: a self-managed Basic Foam Party, where Kevin drops off the cannon, shows you how it works, and you run the foam whenever you want all day, or an operator-run Glow Foam Party, where a trained Bigfoot operator runs the whole show under lights after dark.
Rockford already has the Rogue River running past the dam downtown and a Start of Summer Celebration every June with a midway and kidsβ activities. A foam party is for the birthday when you would rather keep everyone in the backyard. Kevin, a nurse and a dad, owns the company and makes the drive up US-131 himself for every delivery, in the city and out through Belmont, Cannonsburg, and Plainfield Township.

Local Know-How
Where to Set Up in Rockford
A foam cannon needs a 20′ Γ 20′ patch of grass, asphalt, or concrete (never gravel), plus a standard outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet. Parks around Rockford fall under three different owners, and parks close at dusk, so glow foam stays in the backyard. For daytime foam:
- Townsend Park (8280 6 Mile Rd, Cannonsburg, Kent County) is the one park near Rockford that answers both questions in writing. The fieldstone open shelter rents for $150 a day for up to 80 guests, there is a water spigot behind the patio, and the county describes the electric service to the shelter as limited, so tell us it is Townsend and we will plan the power accordingly. Kent County requires Park Manager permission for amusements at least two weeks ahead plus a $25 amusement fee; ask whether a foam cannon counts. Reserve online or call (616) 632-7275.
- Plainfield Township pavilions at D.W. Richardson Park, Grand Rogue Park, and Versluis Park are reserved through the townshipβs online request form. Fees, outlets, hose hookups, and foam rules are not published, so call Parks & Recreation at (616) 363-9399 before you count on one, and ask specifically about a spigot.
- City of Rockford parks such as Garden Club Park and Richardson-Sowerby Park along the Rogue River do not publish pavilion rules online. Check with City Hall before planning foam downtown.
- Church lawns and Rockford Public Schools grounds work too, as long as there is an outdoor spigot and an outlet, from a Roguewood or Lakes Elementary PTO night to a Rockford High grad party. We send a certificate of insurance to the office.

Is Rockford inside your delivery area?
Yes. Rockford is about 40 minutes from us in Caledonia up US-131, and the city, Belmont, Cannonsburg, and the Plainfield Township side are all inside the included delivery area.
Can we do a foam party at Townsend Park?
Probably. Townsendβs open shelter has a water spigot behind the patio and limited electric service, and it rents for $150 a day. Kent County requires Park Manager permission for amusements at least two weeks ahead plus a $25 fee, so call (616) 632-7275, ask whether a foam cannon counts, and get the yes in writing. The park closes at dusk, so glow foam stays in the backyard.
What hookups does the foam cannon need?
One standard outlet and one hose spigot, each within 50 feet of the cannon. We bring the extension cord and the connections; you supply the hose. No water truck, no special drain. If your site has water but limited power, ask us about generator options.
Are you insured, and can a Rockford school or church get a certificate?
