Where to Set Up in Hastings
Foam is the easiest thing we deliver to place: no stakes, no 17-foot tower, no overhead clearance to measure. You need about 20′ × 20′ of grass, asphalt, or concrete (skip gravel and sand), plus a standard outlet and a hose spigot within 50 feet. Most foam parties in Hastings happen in a backyard or driveway, and parks close at dusk, so glow foam stays in the backyard.
- City pavilions. Fish Hatchery Park on W. Green St. and Tyden Park on N. Broadway are the two parks with restrooms, playgrounds, and two shelters apiece. A pavilion reservation from City Hall is $50 for residents and $80 for non-residents, plus an $80 clean-up fee if your group tops 50. The city’s form warns that electrical service “is not assured to be usable” and does not mention hoses or foam, so call (269) 945-2468, ask about a spigot, and plan on a generator; ask us about generator options.
- Historic Charlton Park (2545 S. Charlton Park Rd., (269) 945-3775). The strongest park for foam. The pavilion has nine outlets plus a 220V outlet behind it, and since foam needs nothing staked, the park’s rule that staff must pre-approve any stake location never comes up. There is running water under the pavilion for the restrooms; ask whether a hose spigot is available. Skip Mini-Shelter East, which has neither electricity nor running water.
- Barry Expo Center (1350 N. M-37, (269) 945-2224). Rents banquet halls on 160 acres and advertises help with temporary electrical needs, but publishes no foam policy, so ask.
- Schools, churches, and camps. Glow foam and Hastings High School grad parties were made for each other; June open houses are our busiest foam month. Daytime basic foam suits Northeastern, Southeastern, and Star Elementary families, VBS afternoons, and the YMCA of Barry County’s summer camps at Camp Algonquin. We send a certificate of insurance to the district, the church, or the Y on request.

Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured, and Kevin will email a certificate of insurance to Hastings Area Schools, your church, the YMCA, or Charlton Park. It is routine for youth groups and PTOs; give us the event date and the office contact.
How far in advance do foam parties in Hastings book up?
