Foam Parties in Byron Center
What Is a Foam Party?
A foam party is an outdoor event where a foam cannon fills your yard, driveway, or field with mountains of safe, bubbly foam that kids (and adults) can dance, play, and dive in. Bigfoot runs them two ways: a self-managed Basic Foam Party, where Kevin drops off the cannon, shows you how it works, and you run the foam whenever you want all day, or an operator-run Glow Foam Party, where a trained Bigfoot operator runs the whole show under lights after dark.
Byron Center takes graduation season seriously: Byron Township even sets aside Sunday afternoons at the Community Center in May and June for grad parties only. A foam party is the backyard version, and Kevin, a nurse and a dad, brings the cannon, the solution, and the cord himself; for glow parties he stays and runs the show.

Local Know-How
Where to Set Up in Byron Center
Foam is the most forgiving thing we deliver. It does not need the big, flat, obstacle-free footprint an inflatable does, only a 20′ Γ 20′ patch of lawn or driveway (grass, asphalt, and concrete all work; skip gravel and sand), a standard outlet and a garden hose spigot within 50 feet of the cannon, and somewhere for wet kids to dry off. A driveway works nicely because it drains. Byron Center parks, honestly, are a harder sell for foam:
- Whistlestop Park (2120 76th St SW) and Bicentennial Park (8085 Byron Center Ave): pavilions rent April through October for $75 per block for township residents and $100 for non-residents, with electrical service available. The townshipβs rental form does not address water hookups or foam. Call Byron Township Recreation at (616) 878-1998 and describe exactly what you are planning.
- Douglas Walker Park (1195 84th St, Kent County): $60-a-day picnic areas, but the county says most have no water or electric service and only A3 has electricity. Kent County requires special permission from the Park Manager for amusements at least two weeks ahead and charges $25 per amusement. Call (616) 632-7275.
- Byron Township Community Center gym: the facility rules bar fog machines and do not mention foam, and gym rentals are screened upon inquiry. Keep foam outdoors.
- Best bets: your backyard, your driveway, or a church lawn with a spigot. Glow foam wants dusk, and the parks close at sunset, so glow stays in the backyard. If a spot has water but no power, ask us about generator options.

Everything Parents Ask
Foam Party FAQs β Byron Center Edition
How much is a foam party rental in Byron Center?
A self-run Basic Foam Party is $275 for the day and a Glow Foam Party with our operator starts at $400. Extra hours of foam solution on the Basic package are $75 each. Delivery, setup, and pickup in Byron Center are included in those prices.
Is there a delivery fee for Byron Center?
No. We are 12 miles away in Caledonia, about a 15-minute drive, and Byron Center is in our standard service area with no delivery charge.
Could we do a foam party at Bicentennial Park?
Maybe. Both Bicentennial pavilions have electrical service and rent for $75 or $100 per block, but the township form does not mention water spigots or foam. Call (616) 878-1998, ask whether a hose hookup exists near the Hexagon or Rectangle pavilion, and ask if foam on the grass is okay. Without a spigot, the answer is a backyard.
What hookups do I need?
One standard outlet and one garden hose spigot, both within 50 feet of where the cannon will sit. We bring the extension cord and the connections; you supply the hose. If the spot has no power, ask us about generator options.
Are you insured? Can you send a certificate to our church or school?
Yes. Bigfoot Bounce Houses is fully insured, and Kevin will send a certificate of insurance naming your church, school, or venue. It is a normal part of booking for youth groups and parent groups, so just ask.
How far in advance should I book a foam party in Byron Center?
Two to four weeks in peak season, May through September, and three to four weeks for glow. Grad-party Saturdays and Sundays in late May and June are the first foam dates to go, and glow parties need Kevin on site, so those evening slots are limited. Book as soon as you have a date.
Ready to Make Your Byron Center Party Legendary?
Bigfoot Bounce Houses is a one-man shop, so Kevin sees every message. Book your foam party and he handles delivery, setup, safety, and squeaky-clean fun so you can enjoy the day.
